Student Voice

STATUS: Student Recruitment Underway

About:

Prof Andrew McAinch (Victoria University) leads this activity to develop and implement a pathway enabling a student voice to the Council. The Student Advisory Group provides an important student voice to the Council of Deans, informing national discussions and strategic directions for nutrition and dietetics education across Australia and New Zealand.

The Student Advisory Group (SAG) will be composed of:

  • One student representative nominated by each of the CDND membership organisations in Australia and New Zealand who is currently enrolled in a dietetic program that is accredited or seeking accreditation. Individual universities will be responsible for EOI processes and selection of representative.

  • Up to two student representatives who whakapapa Māori and up to two student representatives who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, to ensure these perspectives are represented in the SAG.

  • Plus a maximum of 4 HDR students (who must hold APD status in Australia or RD status in New Zealand) across all CDND membership organisations (only one HDR representative per organisation).
